History of JEMS Classics
JEMS Classics was born out of the passion for “old cars” that Chip Romano developed early in life. Born in Wilmington, Delaware, Chip would spend all of his spare time going to car shows and working on his family’s cars. He bought and sold his first car at the age of 15 and started restoring them at 16. In 1990 MBNA America hired him as they started a collection of Classic cars. For the next 15 years Chip bought, sold, and restored the vehicles for what was to be one of the world’s finest collections of collector automobiles. In 1995 Chip started to restore cars out of his garage in his spare time and incorporated in 2004. Today, JEMS Classics is housed in a 10,000 square foot facility, which incorporates our sales department, restoration and repair facilities.
